Startup Weekend Global Fashion Battle Poland

Startup Weekend Global Fashion Battle Poland have ended last Sunday. I was working on this event for the last few months. As a reminder – Startup Weekend is the type of the event with clear rules. Participants meet on Friday to build teams that will be working on a new startup idea. They pitch this idea in front of jury on Sunday. Converting general idea into reasonable business during 3 days – it’s a challenge. That’s why Startup Weekends are so unique. This one was unique because of one more reason – it was part of series of the events called Global Fashion Battle, which are going to disrupt fashion industry.

It was a first Startup Weekend organized by me and I was really dedicated to making it right, but the final result exceeded our expectations. Congrats to all co-organizers. Thank you to all participants and mentors. Watch this video to find out what was going on during this weekend.

Today, during Star Wars Day, I would like to remind you probably the most famous Yoda’s statement. He wanted to teach Luke that he has to commit himself completly to achieve something. Right now we are in the middle of big changes in PublishSoSimply, many of them were tough for us, but we had to make some decisions. I would like to tell you about them. Probably many of you tried to use PublishSoSimply, I hope all of you know what we do, so if you have any opinions about what I write below don’t hesite to comment.

Start-Up Chile time!

Last month our adventure with running business in South America began. We became part of the biggest startup community in the world – Start-Up Chile. It means that we’ve moved to Santiago and we’ll spend several months here developing PublishSoSimply among other startupers from all over the world.

PublishSoSimply in Tokyo

It is obvious that Asia is amazing place to do business. We had opportunity to experience it last week during Orange Fab Asia Demo Day.

How did it happen that we landed in Tokyo? Few weeks ago we were selected by Orange in Poland and headquarter in France to represent first polish Orange Fab during Demo Day of Asian edition of this program. I wrote Asian because the program is targeted to three countries – Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Most of companies presenting at the event came from Asian edition, but we also met few companies from Orange Fab France.
